Access to Quality Care and Support Services

Program Objective: Increase access to prevention and quality services for people living with HIV (PLHIV), orphans & vulnerable children (OVC), women, youth, and other vulnerable populations by providing health care and social support services.

In order to support the ever-growing key populations of children at risk in Uganda; CHAIN is supporting Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC) with core program areas like economic strengthening, food and nutrition security, education, psychosocial support, and basic care (SDG 4 &5). Over 20,000 OVC from the Central, Northern, and Eastern Regions of Uganda have benefitted from the program with activities that are in line with the National OVC strategy and guidelines from the Ministry of Gender, labor, and social development.

The program has children from preschool to university levels and has produced civil engineers, radiologists, accountants, lawyers, ICT, mechanical engineers, hairdressers, designers, nurses, and teachers among others.

The program is supported by Global Orphans Assistance Fund (GOAF), MCULSKY Health Force (MHF), UK, German, and Uganda individual sponsors.
